About the job: SCOPE Registrars Bama LGA SCOPE
SCOPE Registrars are responsible for accurate beneficiary registration and data management within the SCOPE system. They familiarize themselves with data collection tools and study protocols, ensuring proper verification and entry of household information while adhering to ZOA and Donor data protection and confidentiality standards. Registrars provide daily progress updates to supervisors, safeguard all equipment provided, and return it in good condition. They play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting accountability, and upholding ethics and safeguarding policies throughout the assignment. Additionally, they perform any other duties assigned to ensure smooth registration processes and effective service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Get familiar with data collection tools and study protocol.
- Conduct SCOPE registration of targeted households.
- Collecting and verifying beneficiary information accurately.
- Ensuring proper data entry into the SCOPE system.
- Adhering to ZOA’s and the donor data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Provide daily progress to the team leader/supervisor.
- Expected to take good care of any equipment provided for the assignment and will be required to return them in the same state as they are received.
- Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the supervisor.
- Abide by the ethics and safeguarding policy of ZOA Nigeria in all their dealings while working on
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in data collection, digital registration, or humanitarian operations.
- Previous experience with WFP SCOPE platform or other digital registration tools is highly desirable.
- Comfortable using Android tablets, laptops, fingerprint scanners, and mobile applications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure in field conditions.
- Speaks, reads, and writes fluently in English, Hausa, Kanuri, or any other local dialect required.
- Knowledge of operational area and local language.
- Proven interest & commitment to humanitarian and development principles and demonstrable understanding of conflict/post conflict development contexts.
- Team player with positive attitude.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Good communication and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in both office and field settings.
- Possess a degree of flexibility to work and availability to respond to comments and questions in a timely and appropriate manner.
